  • We have been going to Estrella’s in town for years. It’s is by far the most authentic Mexican Restaurant that we have ever been to. The food is excellent! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. If you want awesome authentic Mexican food in a warm very friendly atmosphere where they call you by your first name you have to go!

  • What can I said I live in Brea and I drive to Fallbrook to get some real Mexican food. From the salsa, nachos and service. I have been going to the place for the past 2 years. Always great attitude. The family that run the place is always friendly. The food is so flavorful, it brings back memories of when you go back to your hometown in Mexico with your relatives who still cook with wood on the ranch.

  • Small, cozy restaurant and bar. Family owned and run. Better than most Mexican food locations. From the chips to the salsas, it was a surprisingly delicious experience. Everything seemed homemade, nothing tasted or appeared “canned”. Good selections of draft beers as well as bottled. Margaritas were well made and tasty. Staff was exceptional.

  • HOMETOWN FAVORITE!!! Oh wow, the food, it’s OUTSTANDING! The chips are served warm, with both corn and flour tortilla chips! Then you add the fresh salsa, with just the right amount of kick! It’s important to remember to save room for dinner! They have won multiple awards for the their carnitas, it’s great! But I am more of the ceviche kind of gal, and theirs is great!

Location

History

Estrella’s Restaurant and Cantina was originally opened by Imelda and Ramiro Estrella in 2002. A strong family presence, great food, and a great dining atmosphere made the original Bonsall location a town staple. For years, the family served the Bonsall community, until the original location was closed as part of an eminent domain to expand Highway 76 on May 29th, 2010. On September 3rd, 2011, lead by sons Frank and Carlos Estrella, the Estrella family re-opened their doors.
